1. Finance and Administration Manager/Director

Location: Addis Ababa

Salary: 25,000.00 to 30,000.00 ETB (Based on your experience)

Duty Station: National Office

Reporting to: Executive Director

Skill and educational background

Master’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 4 years of experience with the same working position, preferably in a local/international NGO
Strong financial management and reporting skills, with proficiency in accounting software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
Demonstrated experience in managing teams and leading organizational change
Proactive problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement
Familiarity with donor compliance requirements and NGO best practices
Fluency in English and Amharic; additional language skills are an asset
Proficient in financial management software, spreadsheets, and other relevant technology
Demonstrated skills in managing teams and leading organizational change
Knowledge of Ethiopian financial regulations and reporting requirements
Commitment to the mission and values of the YMCA of Ethiopia

 2. Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEAL) Officer

Location: Addis Ababa

Reporting to: Executive Director

Employment Type: Full-Time/Part-time

Salary: 20,000.00 – 25,000.00 ETB (Based on your experience)

Duty Station: National Office

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Job Summary:

The position holder is expected to provide technical assistance in the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation and learning system for all YMCA Ethiopia projects. He/she will be responsible for developing and strengthening monitoring, inspection, and evaluation procedures by monitoring all project activities, and progress towards achieving the project outputs. The position will manage and ensure timely delivery of project activities and achievement of set targets, milestones, and reporting.

Skill and educational background

Advanced degree in M and E/project management, Development Studies, Statistics, or any other relevant discipline
Familiarity with project cycle management
Skills and Competencies:
2+ years solid experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning in international or local non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and familiar with youth serving organizations
Experience working in consortiums/partnership implementation programs
Working level skills in SPSS, STATA and other software including Advanced Excel
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and other local languages of operational areas
Experience in strategic planning approaches – including, needs assessment and programs design, logical framework development, selecting indicators, implementing monitoring plans, coordinating evaluations and data analysis
Experience in M&E methods and approaches (including quantitative, qualitative and participatory work
Demonstrated skills in training and M&E capacity development of staff preferred.

3. Communication and Partnership Specialist

Location: Addis Ababa

Reporting to: Executive Director

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 ETB (Based on your experience)

Duty Station: National Office

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Job Summary:

The Communication and Partnership Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to promote the YMCA Ethiopia’s programs and initiatives, both domestically and within the broader African YMCA network. Additionally, they will serve as a liaison between the YMCA Ethiopia and the African Union, representing the interests of the African Alliance YMCAs and facilitating collaboration and partnership opportunities.

Skill and  educational background

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in communication, stakeholder engagement, or partnership management, preferably in the non-profit or development sector.
Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing effective communication strategies, using both traditional and digital channels.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Skills of IT tools related to communication (Photoshop, Canvas, etc.)
Familiar with the African Union’s structure, policies, and decision-making processes preferred.
Proficiency in English. Knowledge of any other official African Union language (French, Arabic, Portuguese, or Spanish) is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
Proven project management and team collaboration skills.
