Berhan Insurance S.C. was established in October, 2010 with a paid up capital of Birr 9.7 Million, under proclamation No. 86/1994. Being initiated by Berhan Bank S.C, the key founding shareholders of the Company were, four hundred fifty five, which comprised influential and well-known investors in the country. The Company has started operation in June, 2011 and currently it is operating through its thirty branches & two contact offices, in which twenty are in Addis Ababa, and the remaining twelve are in Hawassa, Wolaita Sodo, Bahir Dar, Mekelle, Adama, Dessie, Hossana, Shashemene, Arba Minch, Jimma, Dilla & Bishoftu towns.
Owning to its successful penetration and promising profitability, the number of company’s shareholders is growing from time to time and has reached over 1,600. Berhan Insurance has successfully managed to fulfill the National Bank of Ethiopia’s paid up capital requirement for both general and life insurance providers in the country and its paid up capital reached at Birr 200 million.
1. Junior Underwriting Officer
Skill and Educational Background
BA/BSC Degree in Statistics, Mathematics & Engineering.
Work experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience on teaching.

2. Senior Anti-Corruption Officer
Skill and Educational Background
Accounting, Management, Business & Economics or related field
Work experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, of which 2 years as anti-corruption officer

3. Manager, HR Division
Skill and Educational Background
BA/MA/MBA Degree in Management, Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related fields from a recognized University or College.
Work experience: : Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience out of which, at least 3 years at senior position

4. Manager ,Life Insurance Department
Skill and Educational Background
Minimum of first degree from recognized higher learning institution and preferably have diploma in insurance from the chartered insurance institute (CII) or Life office Management Association (LOMA).
Work experience: Minimum of 11 years of Insurance experience out of which 3 years as managerial level

5. Manager, Legal Department
Skill and Educational Background
LLB/LLM in Business law/Corporate law
Work experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience , of which 4 years at managerial level
