Job Opening: Store Keeper at Ethiopian Construction Design and Supervision Works Corporation (ECDSWCo.)

Position Overview

The Store Keeper is responsible for all store operation activities, including receiving deliveries, coordinating stock, maintaining inventory control records, and managing material issues and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive materials supplied by vendors as per the purchase order.
• Check materials for quality, quantity, specifications, and condition.
• Categorize materials and stock them in appropriate locations.
• Take action for the care and preservation of materials.
• Conduct periodic stock verification to ensure accuracy.
• Implement safety measures for the storehouse and personnel.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the storehouse.
• Issue materials to departments as per requisitions and schedules.
• Process bills from suppliers and send them to the Accounts department for timely payment.
• Conduct periodic condemnation of unserviceable materials.
• Manage the disposal of scrap materials as per procedures.
• Maintain all relevant documentation.
• Generate reports and submit them to respective departments.
• Attend audits as required.

Job Requirements

• Education:
  • BA degree in Management, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, or related field with at least 1 year of experience as a Store Keeper.
  • College Diploma in any related field with at least 2 years of experience.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Strong proficiency in inventory management.
  • Data entry skills.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
