Job Vacancy: Project Manager
Position Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality capital projects that meet safety, quality, and schedule requirements while effectively managing costs. This role involves overseeing complex projects from initiation to completion and ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage projects of varying complexity across organizational boundaries.
- Ensure project delivery within quality, time, and budget constraints while managing risks.
- Coordinate and supervise project execution activities from initiation to closeout.
- Monitor project scope, status, and control measures.
- Interface with major projects/initiatives at the specific site.
- Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure compatibility with existing standards.
- Facilitate problem-solving and planning sessions.
- Adjust projects in alignment with business strategy.
- Lead project teams, ensuring quality deliverables and escalation of issues as necessary.
- Prepare formal technical reviews and discussions with functional leaders, including risk assessments and recommendations.
- Ensure availability of functional resources and escalate when necessary.
- Develop and implement division plans and budgets.
- Identify and plan for human resource needs within the division.
- Review, approve, and submit divisional reports to relevant authorities.
- Support subordinate development through performance evaluations and coaching.
- Manage disciplinary concerns within the division.
- Represent the division in internal and external relationships.
- Participate in group decision-making processes and committees.
Job Requirements
- Education and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related fields with 6 years of experience (3 years in a managerial position), or
- Bachelor’s Degree in the same fields with 8 years of experience (4 years in a managerial position).
