The ongoing energy portfolio includes support for various initiatives such as power sector reforms, investment in power transmission and distribution, solar mini grids, clean cooking solutions, and interconnection with neighboring countries.
Available Positions
Position 1: ET Consultant (Senior Public Sector)
Selection Criteria:
- Education: Master’s degree in fields such as public finance, accounting, economics, public policy, or public administration.
- Experience: Minimum eight years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of governance and institutional development.
- Experience in civil service reform, domestic resource mobilization, or public financial management.
- Skills:
- Proven ability to lead policy dialogue with senior government officials and international organizations.
- Strong facilitation, client engagement, analytical, writing, and communication skills in English.
- Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.

Position 2: Associate Investment Officer / Investment Officer
Selection Criteria:
- Education: MBA or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: At least 6 years in commercial and/or project finance with a proven track record in sourcing, structuring, and closing investments.
- Skills:
- Excellent financial, credit, and equity skills, with the ability to structure complex debt and equity instruments.
- Familiarity with IFC’s Manufacturing, Agribusiness, and Services (MAS) and/or Financial Institutions Groups (FIG).
- Strong understanding of sustainable development and impact investing.
- Proactive with strong business development and customer relationship skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of other languages (including Amharic and Somali) is a plus.
- Strong research, quantitative, and computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
