Job Summary
The Fleet Officer will manage and oversee the organization’s vehicle and motorcycle fleet, ensuring all vehicles are maintained in good working condition, properly insured, and compliant with transport policies and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the vehicle and motorcycle fleet, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.
- Oversee deployment, logbook reports, mileage, fuel consumption, and service history.
- Review payment requests for maintenance and consult with the maintenance coordinator.
- Compile and analyze vehicle usage data to optimize routes and reduce costs.
- Support logistics operations for transporting goods, materials, and personnel.
- Conduct vehicle safety checks and ensure compliance with local traffic regulations.
- Communicate with driver logisticians and field teams during emergencies.
- Prepare regular reports on fleet status, fuel usage, maintenance, and incidents.
- Ensure all vehicles are equipped with necessary safety equipment and documentation.
- Supervise driver logisticians and conduct performance evaluations.
- Report vehicle accidents to insurance promptly and follow up on claims.
- Maintain fleet-related documentation and manage transportation requirements.
- Facilitate vehicle rentals for campaigns, surveys, and field trips.
- Implement a GPS tracking system for real-time vehicle monitoring.
- Assist in the procurement of new vehicles and manage the disposal of old vehicles.
- Provide summarized monthly activity reports to the Logistics & Procurement Manager.
- Perform other activities as instructed by the Logistics & Procurement Manager.
Job Requirements
- Qualification: BA degree in logistics management, transport management, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years in fleet, logistics, and supply chain management.
Additional Requirements
- Understanding of GPS tracking systems for vehicle monitoring.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks in fleet operations.
- Strong analytical, creative, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is advantageous.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft applications.
- Recommendation letter from the most recent employer.
