Job Opening: Procurement Manager

Role and Responsibilities

• Ensure proper procurement of raw materials, chemicals, and spare parts for both product and non-product category requirements.
• Develop policies, procedures, and strategies for procurement and supply activities; present to management for approval and implement once approved.
• Design evaluation models for analyzing bids.
• Create procurement policies and procedures in line with the company’s strategy.
• Ensure compliance of procurement activities with organizational rules, regulations, and strategies.
• Implement cost-saving and reduction strategies related to procurement functions.
• Establish and monitor procurement processes, including RFQs, receipt and evaluation of quotations, bids or proposals, and negotiation of contract conditions in compliance with regulations.
• Monitor the implementation of procurement processes to eliminate deficiencies.
• Develop and manage supplier rosters, including selection, evaluation, and performance measurement.
• Acquire equipment, machines, materials, and spare parts from local and foreign sources at the right time, quality, quantity, and type.
• Produce periodic performance reports for the department and submit to the immediate supervisor.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supply Chain Director.

Job Requirements

Academic Requirements

• MA/MSc/BA/BSc in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Management, or related fields.

Work Experience

• 6-8 years of relevant experience in the beverage industry.

• Emotional maturity.
• Proficient in business applications.
• Language skills: English and Amharic; Afan Oromo is preferable.
