Lab Technician

Skill and educational background

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Details
As a Lab Technician, you’ll be responsible for performing essential tasks within our laboratory. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and commitment to quality will contribute directly to our success.

Responsibilities:

Regularly inspect and maintain laboratory equipment, including analytical instruments, balances, and centrifuges.
Perform routine calibrations to ensure accurate measurements.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs when necessary.
Monitor inventory levels of consumables (chemicals, reagents, glassware) and laboratory supplies.
Assist in restocking supplies promptly to avoid disruptions during experiments.
Collaborate with procurement to order necessary items.
Prepare solutions, media, and reagents as needed for experiments.
Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and best practices.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative laboratory environment.
