Job Purpose:
The purpose of the position is to ensure that quality hygiene promotion activities are implemented and integrated into Health and Nutrition at community and Health facility level. The post is also responsible for planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of sanitation and hygiene promotion activities.
The hygiene promotion assistant is responsible for ensuring high quality and timely delivery of all the WASH-related Hygiene Promotion activities, which contribute to the project objective. He/ She is responsible to support the implementation of rapid emergency response of hygiene and sanitation promotion by using appropriate hygiene promotion approaches, with required standard and principles, and level of participation. The position holder is also responsible for community mobilization, proper management of resources under the project and reporting periodically to woreda team leader and WASH Engineer.
Skill and educational background
B.sc/Diploma in Environmental health and public Health.
3 years of relevant work experience for Degree holders
5 years relevant work experience for a Diploma.
2 years’ experience in hygiene behavior change communication and in INGOs development programs in rural and remote environments in Ethiopia.
Prefer those who have experience in hygiene behavior change communication and in INGOs
Excellent written and spoken English
Local Language (Tigrigna) is mandatory
Experience in providing training and capacity building for staffAbility to understand and respect the cultural, religious and political environment and to work well with staff and local authorities in a diplomatic manner

Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Senior Technical Assistance responsible for supervising water, sanitation and hygiene activities on daily base to be as of the design, specification, drawing, contract agreement, standard and protocol of WASH infrastructure at community and health facility. The senior technical assistance will work closely and liaise with the government health structure including the Regional Health Bureau, Woreda Health and Water offices, other implementing agencies, other Concern teams and the community. He/She is this charged to ensure collaboration with all the relevant stakeholders at all levels of the project implementation; kebele, Woreda and at the zonal level.
Skill and educational background
BSc/Diploma in Hydraulics, Sanitary or Water Resource Engineering from recognized university.
3 years of relevant work experience for Degree holders
5 years relevant work experience for a Diploma.
Relevant work experiences in WASH activities at community, health institutions and schools both for emergency and development settings
Appropriate technical skills training and computer software; practical knowledge of AutoCAD is a must.
