Job Vacancy: Engineering Supervisor
Position Overview
Dodai Manufacturing is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Engineering Supervisor. This full-time role is based in Addis Ababa and reports to the Hardware Manager. The Engineering Supervisor will oversee the testing process of electric two-wheelers (E2W) and the maintenance strategy to ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, schedule, and coordinate repairs and maintenance of customer e-motorbikes.
- Execute repair work as needed and analyze repair data to provide reports on customer needs.
- Ensure an adequate supply of spare parts for customer requirements.
- Organize and coordinate testing activities around the clock.
- Hire and train testing and maintenance team employees.
- Build testing equipment capability for high-quality engineering data and analysis.
- Implement testing and maintenance protocols in line with international standards.
- Coordinate closely with the Manufacturing Manager on factory equipment maintenance.
- Enforce proper record-keeping for testing, repairs, maintenance, and technical improvements.
- Lead investigations into technical problems and coordinate emergency responses related to testing.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years in the automotive industry.
- Minimum of 2 years managing a vehicle repair team.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of vehicle dynamics and motorcycle performance factors.
- Experience in executing test protocols and strategies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and scientific programming tools (e.g., MATLAB) is a plus.
- Ability to communicate in Chinese and a valid motorbike license is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, management, and leadership skills.
- Up-to-date knowledge of global testing technology.
