Job Description
As Area Sales Manager at Apex Confectionery PLC, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to meet sales targets, increase market penetration, and drive sales growth. You will work closely with cross‐functional teams and external partners to achieve our marketing and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Work to ensure the company’s overall sales targets are meet
- Initiate sales activities, strategies, and sales plans required to build overall sales and brand visibility.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of prospects, leads, pricing, sales activities, and active clients.
- Provide reports to top management like sales reports, availability reports, situational assessment reports, lead generation reports, distributor complaints reports etc.
- Supervise the activities of the company’s distributor’s sales teams to meet primary and secondary sales targets
- Assist the Marketing Supervisor to recruit, train, and retain a competent team of BTL Promoters
- Identify the trends in the market, both current, and future that are likely to affect the performance of the organization.
Specific Responsibilities
- Go out on sales runs with and evaluate the performance of the company’s distributor’s sales teams and seek ways to improve the team’s performance.
- Search for, vet and recruit local and regional distributors.
- Provide company and product orientation to new distributors.
- Verify product availability data in all markets.
- Supervise BTL marketing activities like product activations.
- Follow up with Promoters to make sure daily Order Generations, OSA forms, Territory Sales
- Reports, Weekly Store Reports and any other deliverables are promptly sent
- Motivate and push Promoters to generate more orders
- Double check to see if Promoters are doing their work correctly by going out to the field and verifying their routes.
- Provide training and orientation to new promoters and issue them a company ID and company marketing gear after consulting HR
- Prepare sales presentations and other sales tools
- Ensure the items are displayed correctly in the wholesale stores, kiosks, supermarkets, and other sales points.
- Attend trade shows and other marketing events and represent the organization.
- Serve as a point of reference to employees in terms of showing great work ethic, habits, personal character and professional character.
Job Requiremnts
- BA Degree in Marketing Management, or in a related field with relevant work experience.
- 5 years of experience in similar role.
