R AND D ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND OUTSOURCING CENTER PLC is looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the frontend. Their existing platform is built with Node.js and MongoDB, and you will play a key role in its further development. The platform is deployed on AWS, so familiarity with AWS services is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain server-side application logic
- Design and implement APIs to support front-end functionality
- Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
- Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability
- Implement security and data protection
- Troubleshoot and debug applications
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side
logic - Maintain and enhance the existing database infrastructure
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Work with AWS services to deploy and manage backend applications
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Backend Developer or similar role
- Proficient in Node.js and its core principles
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, including asynchronous programming and Promises
- Experience with MongoDB and database design principles
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services
- Knowledge of security and data protection
- Experience with version control tools such as Git
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or
equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AWS services like Lambda, EC2, RDS, and S3
- Familiarity with Docker and containerization
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks
- Experience with other databases (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL)
