We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Science Laboratory Technician to join our educational team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our science laboratories, supporting both teaching and learning activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Laboratory Management: Oversee daily operations of the science laboratories, including preparation and organization of materials and equipment for experiments and practical lessons.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all laboratory procedures adhere to safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment for students and staff.
• Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure proper functioning and reliability.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage laboratory stock levels, ordering supplies as needed and ensuring all materials are stored properly.
• Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to teachers and students during laboratory sessions, facilitating experiments and practical work effectively.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities, including equipment usage, inventory, and safety inspections.

Job Requirements

• Educational Requirement: A B.Ed. degree in one of the three sciences (Physics, Chemistry, or Biology) is required.
• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within an educational institution, with a strong understanding of laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with students, teachers, and other staff members.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities with keen attention to detail, ensuring that laboratory operations are conducted efficiently and effectively.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise in the laboratory environment.
