Position Summary
The Senior Accountant will manage the financial operations related to import and export activities. This role requires a deep understanding of international trade regulations, currency exchange, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting within the import/export sector and be adept at navigating cross-border transactions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all accounting operations related to import and export activities.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders for accurate and timely transactions.
- Monitor and manage currency exchange rates and their impact on financial statements.
- Conduct financial audits and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Collaborate with sales and logistics teams to streamline operations and enhance profitability.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure data integrity.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the import/export sector.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
