Job Requirements:
- 1 to 3 years of working experience with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance or in a related field of study
- Proficient with Peachtree software & Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices are a must have traits as well as demonstrable skill in preparing financial documents, reports or budgets.
- Experience with basic accounting and financial practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to monitor expenditure and profits and providing reports
- General understanding calculating taxes and pension taxes
- Able to manage petty cash
- Capacity to manage accounts and financial activities of an organization.
- Capacity to produce and follow-up on payment invoices as well as payment request
- Follow up on contracted payment schedules
- Able to issue a receipts
- Able to pay taxes using electronic tax payment system
- Able to post purchases, receipts, general voucher and etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing financial records,
- Preparing financial statements,
- Ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, and providing financial advice to help organizations make informed decisions.
- Familiarity with Ethiopian accounting standards and tax laws would be essential for this role.
- May assist with tax preparation or interact with external auditors (depending on company needs).
- Perform other accounting tasks as assigned.
- Maintain accurate general ledger by processing accounts payable and receivable, recording financial transactions, and reconciling bank statements.
