Assistant Teachers (Grades 1 – 6)

Job Description :

Lebawi International Academy is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated educators to join their prestigious international school as a full-time assistant teacher. Ideal candidate will have passion for teaching and a deep understanding of best practices in international education. They will be responsible for supporting class room activities in the delivery of high-quality education to students from diverse cultural backgrounds, ensuring that each student reaches their full potential.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
  • Valid teaching training certification.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.
  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a diverse and multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in the use of technology for teaching and learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with international curricula.
  • Experience in teaching students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
  • Experience in incorporating technology into the classroom to enhance learning outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Classroom Support

  1. Assist Lead Teacher: Support the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and instructional tasks.
  2. Classroom Management: Help maintain discipline and order in the classroom.
  3. Lesson Preparation: Assist in preparing lesson materials, resources, and teaching aids.
  4. Grading: Help grade assignments and tests under the supervision of the lead teacher.
  5. Student Supervision: Monitor students during activities, recess, lunch, and other times as required.
  6. Instructional Support: Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to students who need additional help.
  7. Classroom Organization: Help keep the classroom neat and organized, including setting up and cleaning up after activities.

Administrative Tasks

  1. Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining student records, attendance, and other administrative duties.
  2. Communication: Help with communication between the lead teacher, parents, and other school staff.
  3. Supplies Management: Assist in managing classroom supplies and ensuring that materials are available and in good condition.
  4. Event Coordination: Help plan and organize school events, field trips, and other activities.
