Minimum requirements:
Education:
- University degree in Education or related fields such as a subject area of Educational Planning and Management, Educational Leadership, Sociology or any other relevant social science studies.
Work Experience:
- At least one year of relevant work experience in humanitarian and development work; showcasing experience with UN Agencies and/or INGOs and with different levels of the education sector/system.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of Amharic as the National language of Ethiopia and Afan Oromo as the local language is an asset.
- Any other official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) is an asset.
Desirables:
- Good knowledge of (and ideally experience in) using established inter-agency standards and guidelines in EiE, such as the INEE Minimum Standards.
- Experience in assisting or facilitating trainings is desirable.
- Understanding of the cluster systems and formal training in cluster information management and emergency response is desirable.
- Experience in development and use of a database (e.g., M&E system) is desirable.
- Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency.
